"Beati monoculi in terra caecorum*"
In the land of the blind, blessed are the one-eyed
I like nature and I like the mountains in general, particularly the mountains of my area in Val d’Aoste…
I like being outside, let it be winter or summer. In the fall, I like to go hunting with my friends and my brother Sébastien.
I do ski mountaineering but I like anything mountaineering, really. When I am not a skier I am a carpenter. It’s my second passion.
Few words that define you as an athlete:
I don’t consider myself an athlete… I like to compete doing ski mountaineering and I like the atmosphere of the competitions, that’s a fact. But when I go skiing, I do because I feel like it, not because I should train, out of contempt.

ew words that define you as a person:
I’m drawn to my roots, set in the village of Cogne… I like to be here in Val d’Aoste, but I also enjoy going away on vacations and discovering new places. For example, last year I went to Alaska. I will always remember that trip! But I could never leave Cogne for good.

What are your passions besides ski mountaineering?
I like manual work such as agriculture but most of all, I like carpentry. It’s the reason why I chose to practice carpentry professionally. I also like music: I play accordion and I love to sing.

Your best and worst memory in the mountains:
My best memories in the mountains are undoubtedly the hunting sessions with my friends. I also like to remember some nice ski mountaineering outings in the spring with my family and friends.
Fortunately, I don’t have any bad memories in the mountains. I was lucky enough never to have any accident in the mountains.

Why do you feel part of the Millet family?
I have been wearing Millet on competitions, training and leisure for a couple of years. It feels comfortable and I love the brand.

What does it mean for you, "Rise Up"?
Rise up reminds me that I want to climb always higher.

Why do you advise people to go out in the mountains to do outdoor activities?
On the competitive side, I won a couple medals on ski-mountaineering world cups. Along with my brother Sébastien, we won two major ski mountaineering competitions in Val d’Aoste, the Mezzalama Jeunes Trophy and the Tour du Rutor.
In my everyday life, I enjoy being a carpenter. My family and I share the project of having an agricultural farm. I love skiing and I love competing but I don’t aim at becoming a professional athlete.
